We've recently noticed a barefaced movement on social media, with more and more women getting comfortable in their own skin and going without any trace of makeup this season.
But can you really go without any makeup? For some, just the mere thought of it can be anxiety-inducing. But don't you worry! We've got some easy peasy baby steps you can take if you're feeling inspired to show off that au natural beauty of yours.
Get Rid OF Eye Shadow
First step: toss that eye shadow! If you want to pull off an au natural look (even with minimal makeup on), eye shadows should be the first to go because it pretty much screams "I am all made up!"
Given that it's summer, you really don't need to spice things up by piling on colors on your lids anyway. Your sun kissed glow should be more than enough color to get you through the season!
Invest In A CC Cream
Don't you just love a multi-functional anything!? Well a quality CC cream is just that with its color-correcting, concealing, and sunscreen properties all in one! This makes it the ultimate go-to item this season for that gorgeous summer skin.
Although it's technically considered makeup, it's also a great skincare product that's lighter on the skin compared to foundation or concealers. It gives you that even-toned complexion without making you look all caked up.
Embrace Your Skin
At the end of the day, it's really all about learning to embrace your skin -- flaws and all. Skincare definitely should come first and foremost. Once you feel confident in knowing that you've done your part in taking care of your skin, then it should be that much easier to be proud of it and dare to go out and about sans makeup!
Are you ready to bare your skin? If you feel as though you can't commit to this a hundred percent, then at least let your skin breathe when you are in the comfort of your home. And no matter what you do, always always wear your sunscreen!
